Only a small part of owning my own business is making the artwork and jewelry - most of the work is promoting it!
I use Instagram and TikTok to create short form video content and static images promoting my jewelry and artwork: the process of making it, behind the scenes, sales, advertising in-person events, and using trending templates. All online traffic directs to my Etsy shop.

While I designed a variety of work for Illini media, including many digital ads for the Daily Illini and a draft of the Best of C-U award stickers, my main project was creating email and social media marketing with Hamilton Walker’s. I worked directly over email with the owner to plan a schedule of future content, write copy, then used a design template to create a once-weekly email newsletter with matching instagram carousel posts.
Creating content provided a unique challenge as many of the same sales and promotions that were usually advertised weren’t available (recently after COVID), yet the restaurant still wanted to highlight its high quality offers and unique menu items. I gained a lot of experience writing short and appealing copy and planning content.
